I made something like this once. Not nearly as good. But it was fun.

• Take a digital recording thing that makes video. Even a digicam works
• Then use the wires that come with it to plug it into the tv, so that instead of using the display on the camera to see what you are filming, you use the tv.
• Then point the camera towards the tv so that the camera is filming whats on tv and the tv is displaying what is being filmed.
• And you have yourself a loop. Digital visual feedback. Just dont try something similar on a guitar amp. I blew one pretty good my trying to.
• Just fiddle around with the zoom, and light features on the camera to produce different effects.
